Rules

  • 1. The event is open to all years of Mechanical Engineering students with valid college ID cards.
  • Each team shall consist of 2–4 members, and a participant may be part of only one team.
  • Pre-registration before the event is mandatory.
  • Models must be innovative, technically relevant, and preferably working models aligned with Engineering applications
  • The project presented must be original work, and plagiarism or copied models will lead to disqualification.
  • Each team will be allotted 7–10 minutes for presentation followed by 3–5 minutes of interaction with the judges.
  • Evaluation will be based on innovation, technical content, working demonstration, practical application, presentation skills, and response to queries.
  • Participants must ensure safety compliance, and hazardous, flammable, or high-voltage components are strictly prohibited.
  • All participants must maintain discipline and professional conduct throughout the event.
  • The decision of the judges and organizing committee shall be final and binding in all matters related to the event.

Design Contest


Rules

  • Eligibility: The competition is open to all engineering students having knowledge on CREO and CATIA.
  • Contest Participation: Several teams will compete against each other to solve some CAD related problems. Each Team should not be more than 2 people. The participants could be from the same college or different colleges, but both must be engineering graduate students. Teams will be selected for competition based on first come first serve.
  • Hardware/Software Setup: Each team will be provided a computer loaded with CREO and CATIA software

Preparation Guidelines

  • All students should present with a valid identity card of their respective educational institutes.
  • Each team has to prepare 3D Model for the given component.
  • Evaluation is based on completion of job with all details at the earliest time.
  • The organizers will reject incomplete, inconsistent or improper drawings. Furthermore, the organizers will not return submitted drawings.
  • The decision of the jury shall be final and binding.
  • All entrants are regarded as having a full understanding of the regulations for the competition and as being willing to comply with every rule.
  • Certificate of Excellence will be given to winners.
  • Certificates of participation will be given to all teams that have participated in contest.

Technical Quiz



Rules for Technical Quiz:

Guidelines:

  1. Preliminary round will be conducted to short list the students for participating in quiz.
  2. This round contains test with 20 multiple choice questions based on engineering basics. Duration of preliminary test is 20 min.
  3. After prelims only 18 participants will be finalized based on their merit.
  4. The maximum no. of groups that are allowed to proceed for the main rounds are 6(i.e., 18 students).
  5. Each team should contain 3 members only.
  6. Each round has elimination. The group who scored less marks will be eliminated at each level.
  7. The decision of the jury shall be final and binding.
  8. All entrants are regarded as having a full understanding of the regulations for the competition and as being willing to comply with every rule.
  9. Certificate of Excellence will be given to winners.
  10. 1st Round: BASIC ENGINEERING ROUND

    1. These questions are related to basics in mechanical engineering.
    2. Internal choice was given to participants from different streams of ME, where they can select their own choice.
    3. Question choice has also been given to participants to choose any question of their own.
    4. Each question carries 10 marks.
    5. The question should be answered within 30 seconds

    2nd Round: COMPONENT IDENTIFICATION ROUND

    1. Participants need to identify the component shown on the screen.
    2. Question choice has been given to participants to choose any question of their own.
    3. Each team will get 3 questions. Each question carries10 marks.
    4. The question should be answered within 20 seconds.

    3rd Round: CORE ENGINEERING ROUND

    1. Each team will get an option to select topics of their own choice and relative questions of 2 will be asked on that topic which is given on the screen.
    2. Question choice has also been given to participants to choose any question of their own.
    3. Each question carries 20 marks.
    4. The question should be answered within 10 seconds.
    5. If the question is answered wrong, there will be negative marks of 5.
    6. Note: If tie occurs rapid fire questions will be asked related to core. The first, second and third prizes will be announced.
