The 2040 Newsroom 2.0 – “Future Broadcast Live” is an innovative and futuristic event designed to reimagine the world of journalism and broadcasting in the year 2040. This event challenges participants to conceptualize and present how news reporting, media technology, and audience engagement will evolve with advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, data analytics, and digital communication. It encourages creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and technological awareness while exploring the future of media and communication.

General Rules:

  1. Each team may consist of a maximum of 2–4 members. (News reader + Field Reporter + Any 2 creative roles)
  2. The event duration will be 5-8 minutes per team.
  3. Participants must present a futuristic newsroom concept set in the year 2040.
  4. Use of multimedia (PPT, audio, video, and props) is permitted.
  5. Content must be original and free from plagiarism.
  6. Participants must adhere to time limits; exceeding time will be considered disqualified
  7. Judges’ decision will be final and binding.

Event Name: Tech. In a Tick: Reel the Real

General Rules:

  • Theme & Content:
    1. Theme: SITAR 2026
    2. The theme focuses on highlighting all events of SITAR–2026, encompassing both technological innovations and cultural activities.
    3. Content should be original.
  • Time Limit & Duration:
    1. Participants will have 2 hours duration to shoot, edit, and submit their reel.
    2. The duration for the final reel should be between 60 to 120 seconds.
  • Equipment & Editing:
    1. Participants can use mobile phones or digital camera.
    2. Basic editing apps (InShot, Cap Cut, VN, Premiere Rush, etc.) are allowed.
    3. Use of AI-generated or stock footage is not allowed, it may leads to disqualification.
    4. Excessive use of filters, heavy color grading, or special effects that distort originality may lead to disqualification.
  • Submission Guidelines:
    1. The video must be in MP4 or MOV format with a minimum resolution of720p or 1080p.
    2. The file must be named as "Participant Roll Number _Tech In a Tick" and submitted before the deadline.
    3. Any music or sound effects used must be royalty-free or self-created.
  • Judging Criteria:
    1. Creativity & Innovation (50%) – Unique idea and presentation.
    2. Technical Quality (25%) – Video clarity, editing smoothness, and sound quality.
    3. Relevance to Theme (25%) – How well the video aligns with the given topic.
  • Disqualification Rules:
    1. Submission of pre-recorded content.
    2. Exceeding the time limit for reel creation.
    3. Using offensive, inappropriate, or copyrighted material.
    4. Plagiarism or AI-generated content.
  • Miscellaneous Rules:
    1. Participants can compete solo or in team (max 2 members).
    2. Organizers may use submitted videos for promotional purposes.
    3. The judge’s decision will be final.

WONDERS FROM WASTE TO WOW - Trash to Treasure

General Rules:

  • First Round
    • TARGET:
      1. Create a unique and wonderful craft item using the waste metal materials provided (screws, nails, springs, etc.).
      2. The team that designs the most creative, stable, and visually appealing craft wins!
    • Teams:
      1. 2–3 members in each team.
    • Duration:
      1. 1 hour to complete the craft item.
    • Materials provided by the Organizers:
      1. Assorted waste metals (screws, nails, bolts, nuts, springs, small metal scraps, etc.)
      2. Basic tools (base board, pliers, small hammer, glue/adhesive)
    • Building Guidelines:
      1. Your craft must be made primarily from the waste metal materials provided.
      2. You may create any design (animal, vehicle, decorative item, utility item, etc.).
      3. The structure must be stable and able to stand on its own.
      4. Focus on creativity, neatness, and structural strength.
    • Judging Criteria:
      1. Creativity: Originality and uniqueness of the idea with fine finishing.
      2. Stability & Strength: Durability and balance of the structure.
      3. Teamwork: Coordination and collaboration among team members.
    • Safety Instructions:
      1. Handle nails and sharp metals carefully.
    • Clean-Up Rule:
      1. Clean your work area after completing your craft. Return unused materials and tools.
