👑 INDIAN TRADITIONAL DRESS

👗 General Rules

  1. Theme Adherence: Participants must wear traditional Indian attire specific to a particular state, region, or culture.
  2. Authenticity: The outfit should be authentic and represent the true essence of Indian tradition.
  3. Gender-Specific Attire: Males typically wear outfits like Kurta-Pyjamas, Sherwani, or Dhoti-Kurta, while females wear Sarees, Lehengas, or Salwar Kameez.
  4. Self-Presentation: Participants should confidently carry their outfits and maintain proper posture while walking on stage.

🏆 Judging Criteria

  1. Costume Authenticity: The traditional and cultural accuracy of the outfit.
  2. Overall Appearance: Grooming, accessories, and neatness.
  3. Confidence & Stage Presence: Poise, elegance, and how well the participant carries the attire.
  4. Cultural Representation: Participants may be required to explain the significance of the dress.
  5. Creativity & Uniqueness: Personalization while staying within traditional guidelines.

🚶 Performance & Walk

  1. Time Limit: Participants may get 1-2 minutes to present themselves.
  2. Introduction: Participants are required to introduce their attire and explain its cultural significance.
  3. Graceful Walk: Walking style should match the elegance of traditional Indian clothing.

🎵 Rules for the Event

  1. The students of B.Tech./M.Tech./MBA are eligible to participate.
  2. The duration for each participant is 3 minutes.
  3. The song should not comprise any slang or derogatory language.
  4. Participants will not be allowed to refer to the lyrics while singing.
  5. The decision of the concerned judge shall be treated as final.

💃 WESTERN GROUP DANCE COMPETITION

📌 Rules

  1. 🎭 The competition is open to all students.
  2. 👥 Each group will comprise of 8 – 10 members.
  3. ⏳ Each participating team will be allowed 4 to 5 minutes to present their dance performance.
  4. 🎵 Participants must submit their music two days before the event.
  5. ✅ Before submitting the music, participants must check with the faculty coordinators.
  6. 🚫 Controversial songs are not allowed.
  7. 🏆 Students will be judged on Technical Proficiency, Clarity, Consistency in style, Expression, and Overall Presentation.
  8. 🎶 Participants must identify the theme and the dance form of the performance.
  9. ❌ Aerobic exercises may not be used.
  10. ✨ Fusion of various dance forms will be accepted.
  11. 👗 Improper dressing is not allowed.
  12. ⚖️ The decision of the judges will be final.

  2. Role Allocation: Each member should have a clear role (Anchor/ News Reader /Reporter/Editor/Guest/ Celebrity / Politician / Principal / Scientist / Panellist / Expert/Audience / Press members).
  3. Prominent Roles: Each participant’s role should represent a prominent personality.
  4. Student should identify one prominent character they admire.
  5. Judges will ask questions related to the selected role.
  6. Time Limit: Each participant will get 3 minutes to perform and 2 minutes for judges’ questions.
  7. Language: English.
  8. Decorum: Maintain discipline and professional behaviour throughout the event.
  9. Original Content: No offensive, political, or inappropriate content is allowed.
