Rules:

  • Screening Round

    • Each team would be given a set of question papers containing 15 objective type questions
    • Time limit - 15 minutes
    • Only Qualified Teams would be selected for STAGE ROUNDS
    • In case of tie between 2 or more teams, further 3 questions would be asked for final selection
  • Stage Rounds

      First Round (Lap Round)

    • Each team would be asked 5 questions. (Objective question)
    • 10 marks for correct answer, and no negative marking for wrong answer
    • If a team cannot answer the question, then the question would be forwarded to the next team (NO TIME)
    • Only 6 teams would be selected for the 2nd Round
    • Answering time is only 30 seconds
    • Second Round (Audio-visual round)

    • This Round would be the Audio-visual round
    • 10 marks for the correct answer and no negative marking for wrong answer
    • Each Team would be asked 2 audio-visual questions
    • Audio-Visual played for 60 seconds and answering time is only 30 seconds
    • If a team cannot answer the question, than the question would be forwarded to the next team
    • This round is not elimination round
    • Third Round (Picture Identify)

    • This Round would be Picture Identify Round
    • 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong or no answer
    • Answering time is only 30 seconds
    • 3 teams are to be selected for the final round
    • Final Round (Rapid Fire)

    • Each team will give 5 questions to answer within the time limit of 50 seconds
    • 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong or no answer
    • Question will be changed for every 10 seconds
    • 2 teams are to be selected as Winners and Runners

  • If a team cannot answer the question, than the question would be forwarded to the next team

Rules:

  • Only team entries are allowed. (Each Team consists of 3 members,preferably one each from final
  • The participants will not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic gadgets during the quiz
  • The questions shall be in the form of multiple choices, true / false statement, specific-one word answer and the like
  • The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change
  • QUALIFYING ROUND (Written Examination) – (In case more than 5 teams registered)

  • Each team would have to answer 25 objective type questions
  • Time limit will be 25 minutes for the entire session
  • Negative marks will be awarded for wrong answers
  • Only 5 teams would be selected for the FINAL STAGE ROUND
  • In case of a tie between any two or more teams, an additional five questions will be given to the teams and a final selection will be made
  • The selected teams shall have to appear for the final on-stage round for which the venue and time will be informed during the qualifying round
  • FINAL ROUND (Consists of Four Mini Rounds) :

    Mini Round 1: 4 Rounds with Five questions per round

  • Each team would be asked 4 questions each
  • 10 marks will be awarded for a correct answer at the first chance
  • 5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
  • If a team cannot answer a question, it can be passed to the next team. If answered correctly 5 marks will be awarded to the team or else 2 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer
  • Only one pass is allowed for a question
  • Answering time per question is only 30 seconds
  • Discussion within the team is allowed
  • Mini Round 2: Rapid Fire Round:

  • Each team will have to answer 10 questions at a stretch with a time limit of Ten seconds per question
  • If a team cannot answer the question, they can pass for the next question till they finish all the ten questions
  • The team can select any one member from the team to answer. He/she can get help of the partner
  • 10 marks will be awarded for each correct answer whereas 5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
  • Mini Round 3: Buzzer Round:

  • A question will be posed to all teams and the team which presses the buzzer first will be given the chance to answer
  • 10 marks will be awarded for each correct answer while a deduction of 5 marks will be done for wrong as well as no answers
  • Answering time is limited to 30 seconds per question
  • Mini Round 4- Audio-visual round

  • A video/Image clip will be projected on the screen and questions related to the clip will be posed to the teams. This audio-visual round will consist of two rounds with each team getting one clip per round
  • 10 marks will be awarded for the each correct answer whereas wrong answers will lead to a deduction of 5 marks each
  • Answering time is limited to 30 seconds per question
  • No passing is allowed to the next team

Rules:

  • Eligibility: The competition is open to all the Mechanical Engineering students
  • Guidelines:

  • Prelims will be conducted depending on the number of participants
  • This round contains 20 multiple choice questions based on engineering basics. Participants will get only 20 min
  • After prelims only 18 participants will be finalized based on their merit
  • The maximum no. of groups that are allowed to proceed for the main rounds are 6(i.e., 18 persons)
  • Each team should contain 3 members only
  • Each round has elimination. The group who scored less marks will be eliminated at each level
  • The decision of the jury shall be final and binding
  • All entrants are regarded as having a full understanding of the regulations for the competition and as being willing to comply with every rule
  • Certificate of Excellence will be given to winners
  • 1st Round : BASIC ENGINEERING ROUND

  • These questions are related to basics in mechanical engineering
  • Internal choice was given to participants from different streams of ME, where they can select their own choice
  • Question choice has also been given to participants to choose any question of their own

  • The question should be answered within 30 seconds
  • 2nd Round: COMPONENT IDENTIFICATION ROUND

  • Participants need to identify the component shown on the screen
  • Question choice has been given to participants to choose any question of their own
  • Each team will get 3 questions. Each question carries10 marks
  • The question should be answered within 20 seconds
  • 3rd Round : CORE ENGINEERING ROUND

  • Each team will get an option to select topics of their own choice and relative questions of 2 will be asked on that topic which is given on the screen
  • Question choice has also been given to participants to choose any question of their own
  • Each question carries 20 marks
  • The question should be answered within 10 seconds
  • If the question is answered wrong there will be negative marks of 5
  • Note:If tie occurs rapid fire questions will be asked related to core.The first, second and third prizes will be announced
