The following are the rules for coding contest of CSE for sitar - 2017
Individuals or teams upto three people will be allowed to compete
Use any programming language (c, c++, Java etc)
Contestants should not bring any notes or textbooks to the contest room. Blank sheets will be supplied (2-A4 sheets)
Contestants in the same team can discuss the problems they are assigned. However, they should do so in a quiet way and without disturbing other teams
Each team will be allowed to use only a single computer and must write and test their programs on that same system
All solutions must be written from scratch. No modification of pre-existing code is allowed. No copying of sample and/or help files will be allowed
All submissions are run through a plagiarism detector. Any case of code plagiarism will disqualify the team from the contest
Each challenge has a pre-determined score
A team’s score depends on the number of test cases successfully it passes through
If a team submits more than one solution per challenge, then the team’s score will reflect the highest score achieved
Teams are ranked by score. If two or more teams achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken for submitting the last correct submitted code
